On September 29, a delegation from the Iranian Nuclear Science and Technology Research Institute of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran visited the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics at JINR

The guests learned about FLNP's history and visited the memorial office of the laboratory's first director, Ilya Frank. Following a meeting with the laboratory's leadership, the Iranian colleagues toured the IBR-2 research reactor. Tours of the REGATA neutron activation analysis and YuMO small-angle neutron scattering instruments were conducted by Inga Zinicovscaia and Sergei Kurakin, who introduced the delegation to the operational principles of the equipment and key research directions.

Dr. Yury Kopatch, FLNP Deputy Director

"We highly appreciated the genuine interest of our Iranian colleagues in the capabilities of the FLNP User Program, as well as in the educational programs of the JINR University Centre. Their willingness to send students and young scientists for internships and an in-depth study of neutron methods opens up new prospects for cooperation with the FLNP," commented Dr. Yury Kopatch, FLNP Deputy Director.

The colleagues were invited to participate in the upcoming International Seminar on Interaction of Neutrons with Nuclei "ISINN-32", which will be held in Dubna in May 2026 and will help establish the foundation for future collaborative work in neutron research.
