FLNP Directorate regrets to announce the death of one of the oldest staff members of the Laboratory Viktor Zamry

On 7 January, Viktor Zamriy, one of the oldest FLNP staff members passed away.
V. N. Zamriy was born on 22 January, 1934, in Melitopol. He began working at JINR in 1958 after graduating from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute.
Working at FLNP, FLNR and VBLHEP, V. N. Zamri developed automation and control systems for experimental equipment and carried out calculations to improve the reliability of accelerator facilities. Viktor Nikolaevich is the author and co-author of a large number of publications in scientific journals. In 1966, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. He was repeatedly awarded the title of JINR prize laureate and was awarded prizes and medals from the USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements. For professionalism, responsibility and high efficiency, V. N. Zamri was repeatedly nominated for the FLNP Honor Board, was awarded the medal “Veteran of Labor”, the departmental badge “Veteran of Nuclear Energy and Industry”, the “JINR Certificate of Honor” and the title “Honorary Employee of JINR”.
In recent years, Viktor Zamry has been busy addressing responsible and important issues of thermal stabilization of the components of the microwave system of the LUE-200 accelerator of the IREN facility.
A wonderful man, a wonderful family man, a loving father and grandfather has passed away.
We grieve and express our deep condolences to family and friends. The memory of Viktor Zamry will forever remain in our hearts.
