Visit of the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia to FLNP

On March 27, 2026, a delegation consisting of Marija Gnjatović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, and Marija Janković, Deputy Director of the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Coordinator of Serbia–JINR Cooperation, visited the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics at JINR.

The guests were given a tour of the IBR-2 reactor, during which they visited the YuMO and REGATA facilities. They were also informed about the capabilities of the neutron research complex, as well as the modern instrumental base, which enables a wide range of research in materials science, condensed matter physics, and applied studies.

Norbert Kučerka, Deputy Director of FLNP

"We greatly appreciate the long-standing cooperation with our Serbian colleagues from the Vinča Institute. The visit of representatives from the Ministry of Science of Serbia and the Vinča Institute is an important step in strengthening our scientific ties. Joint research at the IBR-2 facilities is already yielding good results, and we see great potential for expanding our collaboration, including joint projects and experience exchange. I am confident that this visit will give new impetus to our cooperation"
