The 2024 I.M. Frank and F.L. Shapiro scholarships for young scientists is announced in FLNP

Scholarship applicants must submit an application by November 30, attaching a list of published works over the last 5 years and an abstract in Russian (1-2 pages) reflecting personal contribution to the work.

The annotation must also indicate the section (area) of the competition for which the application is being submitted. The recommendation from the Head of the Group or Sector is to be attached to the documents. All documents must be uploaded to the website:

Five I.M. Frank scholarships are awarded annually in the following areas of research:

- Condensed Matter Physics;

- Nuclear Physics;

- Methodological Investigations;

- Development of Basic Facilities.

Four F.L. Shapiro scholarships are awarded annually in the following areas of research:

- UCN physics;

- Polarized Neutrons;

- Neutron Spectroscopy;

- Methodological Support of Experiments in Neutron Physics;

- Condensed Matter Physics.

The scholarship is awarded for the period of 1 year. The age of the researcher should not exceed 35 years (as of December 31 of the current year). The scholarship amount and the number of scholarships for each area may be changed by the joint decision of the FLNP Directorate and the Jury. The scholarship is not awarded to the same person for two consecutive years.
