FLNP Scientific Secretary Alexander Nezvanov took part in the XIV All‑Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies. The event brought together the scientific youth from 17 countries to discuss key issues in the development of science and innovation.

At a panel session dedicated to the role of Shared Research Facilities (Centers for Collective Use), Alexander presented a report on the opportunities for external researchers to access JINR's scientific infrastructure. He focused in detail on the organization of the User programme at the IBR‑2 pulsed reactor — one of the most sought‑after neutron sources in the JINR Member States.

The main goal of the discussion was to find effective mechanisms for engaging young professionals in addressing the high‑tech challenges facing Shared Research Facilities. Participants exchanged best practices and proposed new formats for cooperation between research centres and early‑career scientists.

As a result, a wide circle of young researchers became acquainted with the potential of conducting scientific research at JINR's infrastructure, and a number of interested scientists from TPU, SPbSU, and IPM UB RAS were able to discuss on‑site the details of submitting regular applications for experiments — the next application round opens on September 1, 2026.

The three-day event brought together approximately 300 speakers and over 1,000 young scientists, graduate students, and undergraduates from Russia, Iran, Italy, Canada, Bulgaria, Vietnam, France, Armenia, Serbia, Ecuador, China, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
