A competition for I.M.Frank and F.L.Shapiro scholarships for young scientists in 2022 is open

All applications for the scholarships (with a list of publications for the last 5 years and an annotation in Russian [1-2 pages] reflecting the applicant’s personal contribution to this research) should be submitted to the FLNP Scientific Secretary (room 76, bldg.42) no later than November 25 (10:00). Please, specify the section to which the application is submitted (in the annotation). Five I.M.Frank scholarships are awarded annually in the following research directions:

- investigation of condensed matter properties by neutron scattering methods;

- neutron nuclear physics;

- scientific and methodological developments for neutron research;

- development of basic facilities.

 

Three F.L.Shapiro scholarships are awarded annually in the following research directions:

- UCN physics;

- polarized neutrons;

- neutron spectroscopy;

- methodological support of neutron physics experiments.

 

The scholarship is awarded for a period of 1 year. The age of the scholarship applicant should be under 35 years (as of December 31 of the current year). The amount of the scholarship and the number of scholarships for each section can be changed by a joint decision of the FLNP Directorate and the jury. The scholarship cannot be awarded to the same person two years in a row.
