"On the character of changes in the power feedback of a pulsed reactor during the fuel lifetime"
E.P. Shabalin
The operating experience of JINR pulsed reactors such as IBR-2 shows that the power-reactivity feedback weakens during the operating fuel lifetime. It is assumed that it occurs due to nuclear fuel production in the result of swelling of fuel kernels of fuel elements and to the corresponding decrease of the negative component of the pulsed characteristics of the IHOS feedback. The step-like stage character of this process, including the example of the IBR-2M reactor, is postulated and substantiated in the paper.
