NFD Seminar
10-19-2022 11:00 FLNP Conference Hall (3rd floor)
Ion beam analysis (IBA) is based on the effects of the interaction of accelerated particles with the atoms of the irradiated material. This interaction leads to the emission of particles or radiation, the energy of which is characteristic of the elements that make up the material of the sample. The report will present the results of the work of the “EG-5 Installation” group in the field of IBA in 2022, the analytical capabilities of the group based on the use of IBA methods, in particular, the Rutherford Backscattering Spectroscopy (RBS) method, the Elastic Proton Recoil (ERD) method, the Particle-Induced X-Ray Emission (PIXE) and Nuclear Reaction Analysis (NRA), as well as future plans.
