Scientific problem:

Current scientific facilities require standardized equipment control solutions. The JINR angular neutron scattering facility uses dissimilar equipment not integrated into a unified control system, limiting the ability to automate experiments.

Objective:

Development, testing and implementation of the Tango device servers for control of the equipment and data acquisition systems of the IBR-2 spectrometers at JINR

Tasks:

1. Mastering the Tango Controls architecture
2. Development of Tango device servers for control of:
a. power supply
b. spin flipper
3. Participation in the development of Tango device servers for a stepper motor controller
4. Testing and implementation of the developed Tango device servers on spectrometers

Research facilities:

IBR-2, REFLEX
