"Start-up of the world's first pulsed reactor 65 years ago"

This event, which was the beginning of the history of FLNP and the starting point of the evolution of its basic facilities, took place on 23 June 1960 in Dubna: the IBR reactor was brought into a critical state. It was covered in the central newspapers and in documentaries, in scientific and popular science magazines, of course, in the local press and in amateur "kapustnik". The report will briefly talk about the prehistory of this event, about its main characters, about interesting facts related to it, about the resonance in the scientific and technical world, and, of course, about the consequences for FLNP.
