Reactor testing of cladding tubes made of ferritic-martensitic steel EP823-Sh with nitride uranium-plutonium (SNUP) fuel, intended for use in the BN-OD-300 reactor, revealed non-uniform corrosion of the fuel cladding tube's inner surface. This report will examine one potential method for increasing the corrosion resistance of the fuel cladding's inner surface, which is the application of a chromium coating. The microstructure of the chromium coating electrodeposited on the inner surface of the cladding tube has been studied, and its hydrogen content has been determined.
"Ion beam analysis 2025"

Ion beam analysis (IBA) is based on the interaction between accelerated change particles and the bombarded material. This led to the emission of particles or radiation whose energy is characteristic of the elements which constitute the sample material. The report shows the results of what we have done, what we are doing, and what we plan to do with regard to the IBA experiments as Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS), Elastic recoil detection (ERD), Particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE) carried out by the IBA team in Sector of Nuclear-Physical Materials Science and Ion-Implantation Nanotechnologies.
