Scientific problem:

In order to analyze the nature of the material, the production technology and the historical events preceding our times for 9 centuries, an investigation of the elemental composition and depth profile of historical glasses from Serbia is required.

Objective:

Investigation of the elemental composition and depth profile of historical glasses from Serbia using ion-beam analysis and spectroscopic ellipsometry on the ESA EG-5 .

Tasks:

1. Mastering RBS, PIXE, spectroscopic ellipsometry.
2. Preparation and measurement of spectra of RBS and PIXE objects.
3. Data analysis using special programmes.
4. Preparation of scientific publications.

Research facilities:

Experimental infrastructure of the EG-5 accelerator complex
