Scientific problem:

Electronic devices free from the problem of radiation-induced diffusion instability are required for the operation of powerful radiation fields. This issue can be met by changing the operating principle of the device. In particular, the variability effect of differently sized nanoparticles in ionic crystals can be used to obtain a rectifying contact.

Objective:

Obtaining a rectifying contact/diode/transistor based on chemically identical nanoparticles of various sizes.

Tasks:

1. Obtaining a rectifying contact/diode/transistor based on chemically identical nanoparticles of various sizes.
2. Investigation of the electrical characteristics of the resulting contacts on direct and alternating current, estimation of the limiting electrical properties.
3. Preparation of scientific articles and patents.

Research facilities:

Experimental infrastructure of the EG-5 accelerator complex
